Panel member Specter

I will take part in the panel discussion during the Specter event.

Starting at 5.54 PM on June 21st, coinciding with Summer Solstice, this evening will include an immersive art program as well as a cross-disciplinary dialogue between scholars from different scientific fields, artists, (digital) designers, technologists and healers. 

The dialogue will serve to map the territory between different disciplines, covering terminology that is used, but interpreted differently, in the fields of technological world-building and ancient self-mastery.

MLEK at WEAR Sustain final event

On November 21st the official closure of the WEAR Sustain project will take place. Financing from WEAR has made Meditation Lab Experimenter Kit possible. The team is looking forward to presenting the final prototype. We are also very curious to see the results of the other 45 teams. Besides a fashion show of all the prototypes the day will be filled with a symposium on different aspects of sustainable wearables. All this will take place at Bozar in Brussels. Entry is free. Dutch Design Week 2018

Meditation Lab Experimenter Kit present in two exhibitions during the DDW.

Functional tech-textiles that care
Textiles could do so much more than only cover your body. It could keep track of your health, give power to your empty batteries, connects to your environment or give you empowering encouragements.
Danielle will be present at 20-10 from 11-18h to talk to you about the project and the exhibition. More info.

Home smart home
The kit is part of the exhibition Home smart home by VPRO Medialab. In the Albert Van Abbehuis, VPRO Medialab explores the future of living together with smart devices at home. In the CONNECT room you can see the newest devices that improve how we run our households.

At the Eindhoven Maker Faire

At the Faire on September 29 and 30 Danielle Roberts will be presenting Meditation Lab Experimenter Kit. But you can also experience Soft Meditation: a 10 minute meditation performance based on live meditation data. Visitors are invited to take part in a small research to measure the effects of the performance.
The artist wants to create a community around this Open Source project and is looking forward to talk to makers and other interested people. Please visit my stand C132 in the Klokgebouw at Strijp-S!

MLEK at Philosophy of Human Technology Relations conference

On July 11th Danielle will take part in the Philosophy of Human Technology Relations conference at DesignLab UTwente. She will be giving a workshop where participants can for the first time experience a Soft Meditation performance! The workshop is part of the Human-Media Interaction / Intimate Technologies track. Danielle will join the panel discussion with Nicola Liberati, Kristin Neidlinger and Galit Wellner.
